I am ever exploring how to expand my vocabulary of abstraction, especially geometric abstraction. How we perceive color and its relationship to other colors has always fascinated me. I am intrigued by color transparence and how is works and how it can be manipulated. This series is never ending so please enjoy this journey.

45 Works on paper emphasizing color/shape/transparency relationships. All the shapes come from my geometric abstract paintings.

This piece was one of three pieces I did for a commission. I really enjoy the color combinations and the negative space. Acrylic on paper, 22" x 30"

For all my works on paper, I am studying the relationship between color/shape to transparency/perception. Untitled 1/1/22 acrylic on paper 14" x 11"

This series is endless in the scope. THe more pieces I do the more ideas I come up with.

This piece was unintentionally inspired by "Visitation” by Jacodo Pontormo, which was part of a Bill Viola exhibition I saw in Florence Italy. It's funny how art history creeps into ones work. Untitled 3/1/2022, acrylic on paper 14" x 11"
